Move your body,

change your mind.

grit & grace facilitates dance and body-based social emotional learning activities to grow resilience, connection, and energy amongst Colorado youth.

  • Why?

At grit & grace, we are working to address the long-term effects the pandemic left on young people’s social and emotional development. We recognize that movement, connection, and laughter are not only human needs, but powerful tools that can be used to improve mental health and resilience. Founded in 2022 by Sarah Lanzarotta, grit & grace facilitates dance classes that are intentionally designed to build energy, strengthen peer relationships, encourage kindness, and cultivate the power of resilience that lies within all young people.

  • How?

Lack of transportation often prevents young people from participating in extra-curricular activities. In an effort to bridge this gap, grit & grace will come to you! You provide the space, we provide the program.

  • Who?

Any and all youth ages 9 to 24

grit:

firmness of mind or spirit; unyielding courage in the face of hardship or danger

grace:

disposition to or an act or instance of kindness, courtesy

“The dance/movement classes with our Cherry Creek Schools Transition Program were physically and emotionally beneficial for our students who are ages 18-21 with mild/moderate needs. Sarah incorporated life lessons and character building activities around the themes of grit and goal setting into fun, engaging dance and movement activities that were accessible for all. She was positive, patient and supportive of all students while challenging them to step out of their comfort zone to take healthy risks.”
